When is an address change necessary?
A change of management address is necessary when relocating the office, upon expiry of a lease agreement, reorganisation of operations, or when moving to a different city. The address may be changed at any time by a General Meeting resolution.
It is important to know that the management address determines the local competence of the tax administration. Changing the city may also change the territorial NRA directorate serving your company.
What follows after the change?
After registering the new address in the Commercial Register, you need to notify your servicing bank and the local NRA directorate. The VIES system is updated automatically within a few days after registration.
Timeline
The address change procedure is relatively quick — document preparation takes 1–2 business days, and registration in the Commercial Register is completed within 5 business days. When changing between different cities, it may take slightly longer to notify all institutions.
Required documents
- General Meeting resolution
- Updated articles of association
- Declarations under Art. 13, para. 4 of the Commercial Register Act
