How long does the whole process take?+

Active setup is 2–3 months: residency card (3 days fast-track), then company or freelancer registration, banking, and tax/social-security registration. The Bulgarian Tax Residency Certificate from NRA comes after 6+ months in Bulgaria. For most clients we have everything except the certificate operational within 6 weeks of the engagement letter.

Is there a minimum income to work with you?+

No hard minimum. Our typical client earns EUR 50K+/yr — that's where the math reliably works (EU tax of 35–55% vs. Bulgarian 10–15% means EUR 17K+/yr in savings, well above our fees). Below EUR 50K it can still work, especially for freelancers — we'll tell you straight on the diagnostic call whether the move pencils out for your numbers.

Do I really need to live in Bulgaria?+

Yes — being a Bulgarian tax resident requires either 183+ days/year in Bulgaria OR demonstrating that your "centre of vital interests" (family, economic ties, primary home) is in Bulgaria. There's no shortcut. We help clients who want to genuinely relocate — including building the local footprint (rental, utilities, GP, schools) so the residency holds up under audit. We don't help with offshore-on-paper schemes; those don't survive an NRA review and put you at risk.

I'm already partway through with another firm. Can you take over?+

Yes, regularly. We've taken over from formation agents who got stuck on banking, residency renewals, NRA queries, or company-restructure issues they weren't equipped to handle. On the diagnostic call we'll review what's done, what's salvageable, what needs to be redone, and quote the takeover scope before you commit.

What if I'm not sure Bulgaria is right for me?+

Apply anyway — we'd rather tell you on a 30-min call that Bulgaria isn't the best fit than have you spend EUR 1,000+ finding out yourself. We've told several clients to consider Cyprus, Malta, or staying put depending on their goals. We don't take cases we can't do well, and we'd rather refer you than waste your money.

Is the diagnostic call really free? What's the catch?+

Yes, 30 minutes, free, no obligation. The "catch" is that you have to apply first via this form — we don't do free strategy calls cold. We screen applications because the call is genuinely useful only when we've already understood your situation in advance. If after the call you decide not to engage, that's fine — you walk away with a clear picture of what's needed and what it costs, and you owe us nothing.
